Randolph's doctors told him in 1987 that he had Malignant Melanoma and that in addition to the diagnose, they were giving him 6 months to live.
14 days after his diagnosis the cancer, which was located in his lymph nodes, was removed.
After that Randolph embarked on a world tour on his bike, covering over 173 000 km and even though his cancer came back, and he had to have 23 additional operations, this did not stop him from doing what he loved most - biking around the world, meeting new people together with his dogs.
